The purpose of this research project was to determine whether consumers would consider purchasing eco-friendly clothing if the conventional clothing they currently purchase had a noticeable negative effect on environment. In this study, I presented a 12-question survey to 20 consumers. The questions help determine what factors affect the purchase of eco-friendly clothing and how informed consumers are on the topic of eco-friendly clothing. This project also contains examples of the effect of purchasing eco-friendly clothing on the environment. Eco-fashion is the production of clothing and other goods in a way that does not harm the environment or people. This is done by using materials that have been grown without the use of pesticides or by recycling old clothing.
