Essay / Food culture in End Of ethnic by Kate Murphy By John...
Murphy taught us the good and bad sides of the “foodie” culture of social media. A good part of his argument is how it's actually a scrapbook of your life, since you think about what you eat. The other side reveals that others who are not part of the culture, like me, perceive it as a waste of time and energy, since food is meant to be consumed and enjoyed in that sense, and not just for its visual appeal. . This also raises the question of what makes a food ethnic, because no matter how hard a person tries, if a certain dish is something a person is not used to eating, it will be foreign to them . Both authors have good arguments about what they intend to share about American food culture, but there is always an obstacle blocking their thinking.
