The Pursuit of Happiness caught my attention as an engaging film, then an inspiring story, and now one of my sources of inner energy. Every time a bad mood crept nearby, I watched it all again to find the strength to fight. A good story makes a great film, and a great character gives it soul. Chris Gardner is the mind of the film that makes it classic for me. I felt grateful when Chris showed me responsibility, perseverance and optimism. The first gift Chris gave me was the full understanding of responsibility. When Chris Gardner was abandoned by his wife and became a homeless salesman with a five-year-old son, he didn't waste his life. I see a mature and courageous man. Although tears had already blurred his eyes, he held his son tightly and did not forget to tell him jokes. He knows the art of being a good father. Fatherhood has become a source of energy for Chris and a reason to keep going even when his life is falling apart.
