Essay / Personal Experience: An Accident and a Cowboy, the Horse
PrologueSome people might come up to me from time to time and ask if I'm okay now, and some people who don't know me will ask me what happened pass. They heard about me on the news, but didn't hear all the details. However, I am used to constant questioning, as much of that is gone now. I count exactly four months since the day my life changed. I'm much better now. In fact, I'm better. My life is exactly the same as before the incident. I still live with my family, I go to the same school, I still have all my pets and most importantly, me and my horse Cowboy are completely healthy again. I don't look the same anymore because my horse and I were stuck for about four months. I've lost weight - I'm now 81 pounds, which is an improvement from when they found me, at 71 pounds. When they found me, they injected me with lots of chemicals so I could survive. I was placed in a hospital bed in the ambulance and they put an IV in me. I was pacing in and out of sight, as I had lost so much blood from the injury. They took Cowboy into the vet ambulance, no exceptions. Cowboy had actually found some food for himself, and an occasional bucket of water was used for him to drink from, if I could find water. However, I was very dehydrated when I was found. I was afraid for one thing, but when my family laid eyes on me, I was reassured that I would live. I was so thin and frail that you could see all my bones. This was not planned. I was rushed to the emergency room and didn't remember anything because I was too weak. After getting what felt like a million needles and having my body x-rayed, all while feeding, I knew I was recovering in my hospital bed. I was recovering in the emergency room... middle of paper... boy, because boredom had swallowed me up. I also spent a lot of my days screaming, crying, and screaming for someone to find me. I know I was found in God's eyes, but I needed to see my family again. My health began to deteriorate about a month after my adventure. Cowboy had also lost weight, even though he was constantly mowing weeds. I can, however, be grateful that I had God and Cowboy, despite these trials. Saved Now, after about four months of these past conditions, I had woken up, sicker than ever, skinnier than ever, next to Cowboy munching on grass. . “I need to be found,” I cried intensely. God heard me, when I started to hear a helicopter and heavy men coming towards me. I had been blurry from time to time and passed out when they saw me. I woke up looking at my family and the men who saved me. I knew then that I was saved.
