And as you wandered the aisles, peering at the depressing sight of premature fruits and old vegetables, you wondered what the stores' definition of fresh was. But as your only option, you chose the prettiest produce on the shelf, thinking that somehow the crop before you must be of a certain quality; because the store wouldn't sell it to you otherwise, and the government wouldn't allow it either... Or would they? Although there are supposed to be strict food regulations to inform and protect the consumer, our diet is often unhealthy and we are generally unaware of it.
