Walt Disney, the creator of the Walt Disney Company, was famous for his ideas. He was nicknamed "an ideas man" because of his ability to come up with big ideas. It was his ideas that ultimately made him successful in his career. Disney began his career as a field draftsman, but as his company grew, he became a full-time manager, organizer, inspiration and innovator. Disney was often called a conceptual innovator because of his ability to simplify problems by synthesizing old ideas in different ways. that no one had ever thought of before. Disney often took inspiration from past works and sometimes borrowed ideas to ultimately come up with new and daring ideas. He would then develop plans to bring these ideas to fruition and delegate the work accordingly to assistants. As a conceptual innovator, Disney did all of his best work at a young age. Another conceptual innovator, Bill Gates, founded the company that became Microsoft when he was 19 years old. Disney, compared to Gates, also tried his best from a young age. At the age of 22, Disney created "Steamboat Willie", which became the first popular animated film with sound. Disney has come a very long way in its career. When Disney was 9 years old, his father sold the family farm which was going bankrupt. Therefore, his father bought a paper route and ended up putting Disney to work. Disney got up early, in the dark, to collect his batch of 50 newspapers. He would return home around 6:00 a.m., take a short nap and then wake up to eat breakfast. From this darkness came Disney's vision of an escape to a utopian world. This vision ultimately led to his greatest animated films, films and theme parks. After Disney started his own company, it became clear that he was a terrible businessman.
