All over the world, there are groups known for their deviant behavior. These delinquent groups sometimes become a major threat due to their actions. In the United States, they are called gangs. As they continually endanger the safety of our communities, what can we do when they infiltrate our armed forces? Preventing gang members and their affiliates from joining the military must become a top priority. And more importantly, they must be eliminated from the army. Gangs are generally considered to be found in urban areas. Lately, there has been an influx of gang culture spreading into suburban areas. One of the reasons we can see for this is the media. Violent lifestyles are glorified on television and in music. Because of the image of “toughness,” many people want to imitate what they are exposed to. In lower-class areas, this is not only prevalent; it is the daily life of many people. They learn from a young age what can always make things better. This is seen in actions committed against others. Violence is a form of action that is almost always taken against others for various reasons. This led to shootings, beatings, armed robberies, etc. Drug trafficking is also lucrative for gang members. The distribution of narcotics is the main source of their money. Illegal substances are inexpensive to manufacture. But it generates high profit margins. Given the demand for their products, gang members can be financially secure. But their large sum of money can prove dangerous, as other gangs may wish to take over the area in which the products are distributed. This is known to result in bloodshed and deaths of innocent people who were in the wrong place. the worst possible time. But with time, the obstacles that might stand in the way could be overcome. Perhaps there should simply be more incentive to resolve the problem, as current events do not appear to be forcing the government or military's hand. As a result, the lives of innocent people may be unjustly put at risk. Like many problems, fixing gangs is simple. But with the efforts of those in authority, this problem can be solved. And gangs from military branches can also be purged from the ranks, so they no longer pose problems for the government; but they must also be able to be rehabilitated so as not to constitute a danger for the citizens of the country. When this is accomplished, the future may no longer seem bleak and gloomy..
