Over time, researchers, psychiatrists and parents have often questioned how harmful violent video games can be to society's youth. This is an important question for people with children in their personal lives or work environments. These games have become a significant risk factor for aggressive behavior in children. Researchers say video games also affect adults; however, they have an even greater effect on younger brains during early development. Video games have negative effects on children's behavior. Some effects of video games are reduced academic performance, aggression, obesity, and emotional disorders. Reduced Academic Performance Children who often play video games without parental supervision forget their homework and begin to fail in class. Children get distracted quite easily when it comes to the simplest things, like video games. They may even lose track of time and stay up too late playing these games, which then leads to a tendency to fall asleep in class. Falling asleep in class and failing exams show reduced academic performance in children. Video games involving aggressive behavior also teach children to become disrespectful. Children who get into this habit start to perform poorly in school because they are too busy becoming troublemakers and disturbing others during lessons. Some would say that children, who play video games all the time, start to dream about different subjects. video games.
