    Have you read The Boy Who Reversed Himself by William Sleator? The charismatic main characters brought the book to life. These characters include Laura, Omar and Pete. The plot of this book is exciting and unexpected. Along with every good plot, the characters experienced major conflicts. The theme of the book is to listen to what you are told. Laura was always nervous that Pete would find her weird. Throughout the book, Laura begins to realize that she no longer likes Pete and she develops feelings for Omar. Larua's quick thinking saves 3 spaces on 4-space creatures. Omar is a short, stocky boy with glasses who is a stranger at school. Omar was also very patient with Laua. He lives next door to Laura and likes her from the start. However, after hanging out several times over the summer, Laura stops talking to him at the start of school because he is considered a "jerk" and is not popular. When Laura wants information, she starts dating Omar again. Omar is the caretaker of space 2 and shows Laura space 4, even though he is not supposed to.
