Computer repair technicians repair or manage computer hardware and software. They can also manage computer devices such as Internet routers. Careers in computer repair are becoming more and more common these days, and with the advent of new technology, they are likely to grow even more. Computer repairers or IT technicians respond to people's problems with computers and resolve the problem, whether it is hardware or software. Hardware is the physical components of your computer and can be repaired manually. This type of repair may only take a few minutes to an hour. Software services may take longer to complete a repair. The computer technician will need to examine your files, programs, and drivers to see if anything is causing an error or if the drivers are not working. Common reasons people need repairs are viruses that shut down hardware and corrupt drivers. In 1968, Hewlett Packard began selling the first consumer computer, a desktop computer, called the HP9100A. The first Apple computer was introduced by Steve Wozniak in 1976 and was called Apple 1. Without these inventors we would not have modern electronics, television would be the only thing progressing and everything would still be analog not digital. Although computers help people get their work done faster, they can be interrupted in many ways.
