    It was much bigger than I had imagined, there were swings, slides, monkey bars and many other strange structures that I had never seen previously. I found myself a spot against the wall where the sunlight can't reach and decided to sit there until it was time to go home. It didn't take long for someone to approach me. He was one of the boys in my class, he was thin with blond hair and a little taller than me. “Hey, what’s your name?” he asked. Even though I understood the question, I still gave him the usual answer. “Sorry, I don’t speak English.” I don't think I spoke to him again after that. I think it was my tone that made him go away, I remember saying it in a way that I wanted to be left alone instead of giving him a friendly apology for not being able to understand him. Looking back, I regret not introducing myself. He was one of the few who approached me at that time and if I had introduced myself properly, even if it was just my name, there's a good chance we could have become friends. In my next few minutes alone, I invented conversations and scenarios where I talk with someone and see how far I can go with my limited command of English. I've been thinking about how I can use hand gestures or facial expressions to express my thoughts without having to use words. It didn't take long before I decided to abandon the idea because of how ridiculous I imagined it would be..
