    Therefore, this study will use the Vannsimpco Leadership Survey (VLS). The Vannsimpco Leadership Survey is a self-administered leadership assessment instrument consisting of 27 questions. It “combines various leadership traits into several categories. This assumes that most leaders cannot be described in monolithic terms of transformation, transaction, democracy, autocracy, or laissez-faire. Rather, leaders employ a mix of varied styles depending on their contextual situation” (Vann et al., 2014, p. 30). The School Culture Triage Survey will be used to assess school culture. The School Culture Screening Survey is a commonly used school climate and culture assessment tool. It contains 17 Likert scale questions divided into the following three categories: Professional Collaboration (do teachers work together to solve professional problems), Affiliative Collegiality (do people enjoy working together, do they support each other others and do they feel valued and included) and Self-determination/Efficacy (are people in school because they want to be there).
