Romeo and Juliet Mock Trial Essay Of all the things that happen in Romeo and Juliet, Tybalt's death is one of the most climatic parts of the story. However, it all started with the murder of another person, Mercutio. Mercutio, a relative of the prince and friend of Romeo, and Tybalt, nephew of Lady Capulet and sworn enemy of Mercutio, were in the midst of conversion when Romeo entered after marrying Juliet and saw what was happening. Tybalt and Mercutio began to fight and Romeo tried to come between them to stop it all. Unfortunately, while Tybalt was in Romeo's arms, he stabbed Mercutio and died shortly after. In all his rage, Romeo was furious that his friend was dead and began to fight with Tybalt. Finally, Romeo kills Tybalt, he falls to the ground and dies. As previously stated, instead of fighting to the death, Romeo and Tybalt could have taken a much less corrupt route and resolved the conflict in a calmer manner. If that had happened, there would have been a lot less sadness and drama. Tybalt's life could have been saved and Romeo should not have been banished. Romeo and Tybalt together symbolize opposites like Yin and Yang or fire and ice. Of everything Romeo had done, the jury should find him guilty of manslaughter. Works Cited CACodes (pen: 187-199).
