This essay taught me that although I learned a lot from this course, there was still room for improvement. Likewise, I was left with the assumption that I had done well on this essay since I had written about a subject I loved, makeup. I was proven wrong. The assessment paper called for evaluating and expanding on the quotes you provided in your paper, something I was not as familiar with before this course. I didn't do very well on this particular essay, but I had the opportunity to learn from my mistakes. Ms. Robinson gave a get out of jail free card when she said we could rewrite one of our first three essays and that was the essay I chose. After revising this essay, I really feel like I understand the editing process better. I went back and checked each paragraph to make sure everything was perfect, changed word choices, and looked again and again for grammatical errors. For this reason, I now know that I need to revise the essay before handing it in, because every writer does
