The Illinois District Court is divided into three district courts: the Northern District (Chicago), the Middle District (Springfield), and the Southern District ( East St. Louis). If a party loses a case, they can appeal to the Illinois Court of Appeal, 7th District, located in Chicago. The 7th District also has jurisdiction over Wisconsin and Indiana.
