    I remember hearing about it briefly in a child development class I took years ago. I didn't remember the results of these steps (hope, will, goal...etc). I loved comparing biblical views to these theories of development. I look back and think about the times I was disappointed as a child, so sometimes I was hopeless and without real purpose and as soon as I let God into my life, He 'gave these things. It was reassuring to look back and see how God can provide for us when the world fails us. The early stages of Piaget's theory of cognitive development are familiar to me today from my recent job as a kindergarten teacher.
