    Traditionally, the Koreas were strongly influenced by China. Even being part of the “Chinese Tribute” system regularly paying tribute to the emperor and the Chinese courts. Many countries were interested in the Koreas and by the end of 1905; Japan was the main power on the Korean Peninsula. When the Japanese invaded the country, it became an isolated country. Japanese domination marked the beginning of the industrial development of the Koreas. By the end of Japanese rule, they were one of the most industrialized nations in Asia. By the end of 1953, the Koreas were divided in two by a DMZ line, even though they were politically different and two different nations occupied different regions. Since the split, the two Koreas have changed dramatically. South Korea has seen major changes over the years. Globalization has had a positive impact on South Korea in many ways, including its economy, education and culture. South Korea's economy boomed significantly in the first years after its separation from North Korea. Its export growth has increased significantly by 21% each year since the 1960s, up from 9% initially. Before the separation of the Korean nation, the country was considered unproductive and did not import or export any type of goods or with certain countries. After the division of the Korean nation, South Korea's economy allowed the nation to grow from a third world country to one of the world's leading manufacturing nations. Today, it is known as an economic tiger due to the rapid improvement of its economy. It is also one of the major exports of the automobile industry and electronics manufacturing. South Korea is also part of APEC, which shows that it has embraced trade with countries around the world. Over the years the movement has grown, but in recent years it has improved by introducing Korean pop and Korean traditions extending from all over Asia to the United States. Because having been influenced by their recent history allowed them to embrace their nationality. This created a sense of unity to have a voice in their nation. Globalization has made them adopt the recent changes in their field, especially in the field of music. The government pushed Korean producers to use American technology and Japanese style allowed them to spread Korean culture. With the end of the Cold War and the deployment of Americans to South Korea, many people in Korea were encouraged to become Americans. This included wanting to become like Americans and change their way of life and their music. Globalization is viewed this way largely because South Koreans have adopted the lifestyle and music of Americans and other countries..
