  • Essay / Person you admire: a reflection on the philosophy of Heraclitus

I have known philosophers who gave me inspiration in life to fight or continue. I have read some philosophies that have given some valid points and their philosophies make sense when you really think about it. There are philosophies that can really encourage us to do more and sometimes it opens our eyes to realize that there is more to life and that life should be seen in a different way. In this example of a descriptive essay about someone you admire, I shared my admiration for the philosopher Heraclitus and his philosophy, particularly his quote “Nothing in life is permanent, nor can it be , because the very nature of existence is change.” .'Say no to plagiarism. He said: “Nothing in life is permanent, and it cannot be, because the very nature of existence is change. » I've thought about it often and as you can see, that's really what life is all about. This means that you cannot have complete control over a person, it changes every time and it doesn't stop there. I totally agree with him as it is slowly proving itself in my life. Nothing in life is really permanent even if you really take care of it or manage it very well, it doesn't change the fact that the object you take care of will never be destroyed or anything. His other quote saying "A lot of learning does not mean understanding" also resonates with me a lot, as a student I am constantly learning a lot of things but that doesn't mean I understand everything, I just have the information , it's just like life, it doesn't really mean that you understand everything you learn, it really takes time to understand something well and you have to study a lot about it. Philosophy is interesting in many ways. It gives us wisdom and knowledge by reading quotes from people. I discovered philosophy recently in my life. This piqued my interest, or my interest peaked on the subject. The experiences I'm having now are really complicated but by reading and understanding all kinds of philosophies given I kind of understood what they were saying now, it gives us information and the knowledge that I was looking for as a young person student curious about life. Addressing the subject “Philosophy” makes me wonder about life and everything else. I know there are many philosophers but Heraclitus made me look twice at the world of philosophy, and as a student I am starting to apply all the knowledge I have learned in this subject and I will continue to discover and learn more about it. The philosopher who gave me an informative quote and made me widen my eyes to the world of philosophy is none other than Heraclitus. His philosophies were interesting and I can definitely think more about what he said. For me, it was truly a revelation. I firmly believe in his quote: “Nothing in life is permanent, and it cannot be, because the very nature of existence is change.” because without realizing this quote, you cannot cherish people like your parents in this life. You must learn to appreciate and keep your family or something that is important to you so that you don't regret it if it disappears. It might be hard, but that's just life, that's how it's supposed to be. We just need to learn everything in this life.
