Video games are games played on consoles with a screen such as a monitor or touch screen. People who play video games can become addicted to the game if they play continuously for long periods of time. Some games can make the player frustrated because they constantly fail or lose, players can suffer mental breakdowns and sometimes become physical. Families affected by video games experience a loss of money and communication. I believe that video games have a negative impact on families, this argumentative essay will talk about the negative impacts that video games have on families. Video game addiction is a problem that many people face when playing games, they may become addicted without knowing, but eventually their addiction gets stronger with time and they will realize it. Video game addiction comes from the brain and when the gamer's brain comes up with a game that has a good reward system that rewards the player. When the brain feels good, it wants more, so the player keeps playing until reality takes over, but eventually the player comes back for more. When a family member is addicted, it causes reality problems within the family.
