Discrimination seems to have been a part of humanity since the dawn of time, although it has taken many forms over the centuries. It always boils down to the fact that discrimination is the practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people differently from people or individuals. groups based on race, age, religion and sexual preference. Human discrimination is a problem today throughout society around the world. It can and will affect generations to come if it is not stopped. The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah in Hebrew, was the mass murder or genocide of six million Jews. from January 30, 1933 to May 8, 1945. Before the Holocaust, Jews had faced discrimination and anti-Semitism for millions of years, dating back to the ancient times of the Jewish religion. When Germany's Nazi regime, led by Adolf Hitler, began restricting Jews to Germany, many fled to the United States, the Middle East, or the United Kingdom. Many children had to survive without their families to stay alive. Many hidden children hid in schools and orphanages as far away as possible from where they lived with their families. King was the leader of the Birmingham bus boycott in Birmingham and was also the leader of many non-violent protests that took place in Birmingham as well. King was a major influence in the quest for equality for black Americans. King was also one of the leaders of the March on Washington, during which he delivered his famous "I Have a Dream" speech to thousands of Morgenstern Americans in an attempt to end racism in the United States .
