  • Essay / What makes one person change my life - 772

It was November 14, 2014; as I stood in the cold, welcoming airport, my hands shook with nervousness. While I waited impatiently to see my king walk through the double doors, the moment finally came. When I saw him walk in, all I could do was run up to him and hug him with all the strength I had. As tears of joy streamed down my face, I showed the most radiant smile I have ever had before. Then we went home and all we could do was try to catch up. As time went by, we spent every moment trying to make up for the lost years; however, we realized that there was nothing to do and the time could not be recovered. For example, my ancestor and I were walking in the mall and he wanted me to hold his hand like I was still his little girl from the day he left my side. On the other hand, my matriarch was not like that because she was by my side throughout my childhood. It didn't take long for everyone to get used to the new ways of living at home, and now we're starting a new chapter with the arrival of a baby boy into our family.
