Essay / The advantages and disadvantages of the vegetarian diet - 1445
A carnivorous diet rich in meat is defined as a diet rich in meat and with little consumption of vegetables and fruits. In total, the study included 1,320 Austrian subjects who reported their eating habits. The sample consisted of 330 vegetarians (again, some ate meat), 330 people with a "balanced" diet, eating meat, vegetables and fruit, 300 so-called "normal" eaters (which I did not I did not include in the data), and 330 whose dietary habits were high in meat. The limitations of these data are due to the fact that the survey was based on cross-sectional data. This means that there is no indication whether the people in the study chose to become vegetarian thinking it would improve their quality of life and health, or whether they became vegetarian after discovering they had a medical condition. chronic with the aim of improving their health. There is also no information on the long-term effects of these specific diets. Other limitations are that study subjects each self-reported their diet (or what they believed it to be), without giving them a clear definition of different types of diets..
