    Hispanics are proposing new advances and innovations in technology and science. Hispanics have been contributing to the world of science and technology for decades. They have been contributing for hundreds of years. They have even contributed to science for millennia. More and more Hispanics are receiving degrees in more advanced fields of science and more and more are making new discoveries in their respective fields. New organizations have also been created to encourage more Hispanic youth to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. Honorary awards have also been given to Hispanics who have accomplished extraordinary things in science, such as the Hispanic Scientist of the Year award. This award honors the great achievements of Hispanics in science and is hosted in our own city of Tampa. Hispanics have influenced science and technology in the distant, more recent past, in today's advanced fields, and have changed the way we live today and tomorrow. the path which dates back to the end of the 16th century. The natives of Puerto Rico relied on their astronomical knowledge to plow their crops. In 1581, Juan Ponce de León II analyzed an eclipse and its effects on Puerto Rico. As he explored the wonder of this eclipse, he established through his experiments the exact geographic coordinates of the city of San Juan. His contributions not only led to a better understanding of where exactly this place was and paved the way for colonialism in America, but also launched thousands of additional contributions to science by many people of different cultures. There have been a lot of paper fields, not just engineering. There are many other similar organizations today that are successfully teaching science to thousands of Hispanics. Hispanics are truly making a difference in our scientific and technological world. They have achieved impressive feats in all scientific fields. They will continue to impress and amaze us with their incredible scientific work. Their hard work and dedication to doing what they love while achieving great success is what creates a great scientist. Most Hispanic scientists possess all of these characteristics. If only their achievements and contributions could be recognized globally. Many thousands and hundreds of years ago, Hispanics began making great scientific discoveries that changed the world and the way we think. They still do it today and will continue tomorrow.
