Essay / Essay on the Ministry of Jesus - 1059
However, by searching the Scriptures, we can find what He wanted most from us. “Love the Lord your God with all your warmth, with all your soul and with all your mind; this is the greatest and most important commandment. The second is like this; you shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39). His life and ministry were intended first for his father's willingness to die for the forgiveness of the sins of all mankind; allowing direct access to God through Jesus Christ. Second, it was an example of what we must become. Jesus' mission was to develop relationships with the people his father loved so much. He created his own small group consisting of his twelve disciples. Healed many people possessed by evil spirits and illnesses. Above all, Jesus wanted everyone to enter into an intimate relationship with Him so that they could experience life to the fullest. Humanity was incapable of perfectly obeying the laws God had given them with the Ten Commandments, and God knew that humans were incapable of obeying all laws at all times. The Bible says that if we break a law, we are a sinner and must be held accountable for that sin. Many Christians who walk in truth know that without Jesus they are destined for hell because of their many sins. Jesus bridged the relational gap between God and humans. Jesus also died and rose from the dead so that all who believe in Him would have eternal life. Jesus' ministry here on earth was about the only temporal thing that has eternal implications; people. As Christians, we must become more and more like Christ each day by giving our lives and filling our hearts with the same desire that Jesus had over his during his stay.
