After thinking about it in class, I decided that I should do some research on what it means to play college basketball, since I will be playing basketball college ball next year at Grace Bible College. Another reason I chose to research this topic was to be better informed about what to expect this fall when my college career begins. I want to know what is expected of me as a player, but also as a student. I think this topic was a perfect fit for me considering I will be playing basketball for the next four years of my life. College basketball is very different from high school basketball. The game is much more intense, with a faster pace, you have to be more competent when it comes to knowing your opponents and you have to be in much better shape. This research topic also allowed me to reach out to my teammates who already have basketball experience while studying at Grace, allowing me to get to know them better.
