I introduce myself as (name), currently pursuing (course) in (subject) at (university). As I approach the culmination of my current degree, I am seeking doctoral studies in the same field at a prestigious university. Since my childhood, I have always been fascinated by observational science; in fact, my favorite subject in high school was physics. I regularly participated in science exhibitions at school and it was as part of one such initiative that I presented my model 'Conics in Physics' at a national level science exhibition. The fact that these physical principles are being used to explore the very Earth we thrive on couldn't be more fascinating to me. In my opinion, destiny played a role in my pursuit of the wonderful subject of earth science, as I was indecisive about my career path even after passing one of the most popular engineering entrance exams. toughest in the world - IIT-JEE. Over time, the study of the Earth instilled in me a deep interest and I am glad I chose this field of study. I now intend to further explore this field through graduate studies and I perceive doctoral studies as an opportunity to fulfill my desperate childhood dream of becoming a scientist. Although the (field) energy industry offers lucrative opportunities, I have always considered the employment sector to be a dead end in terms of career progression, as I find the work mundane and not suitable for me. not because I aspire to intellectual satisfaction. Conversely, I consider academic life as an excellent platform to quell my intellectual desire as well as develop my personality and I am sure that pursuing doctoral studies in such a reputed institute will open up a good number of opportunities for me. For me, apart from the fact that (...... middle of paper ...... but because of my selection of industrial internships and therefore not being able to carry out any research work during my summer vacation, as some of my peers did this only once, I had the opportunity to work in a research institute at the end of my second year, when I went to (name of institute), in India, but where I learned the basic principles of taking my education into account according to the syllabus of my current course at that time, the only opportunity to work on. a research project is in the final year, i.e. since August 2013. I have diligently written my thesis essay despite increased responsibilities to my department and competitive exam preparation which have delayed progress towards its completion. For me, research was and still is the only professional path I plan to follow...
