  • Essay / The Pack Reject - 987

I snuck behind the bushes outside the school gates, wondering how the hell I was going to get past the pack. They were all standing outside the school gates, waiting for me so they could “teach me a lesson”. Poking my head out from behind the bush, I slowly ran out the side doors when someone cleared their throat. Looking up, I recognized who it was, Mrs. Barnes: the strict science teacher. She pointed at the school, indicating that I should go to my class instead of hiding. I ducked my head as I walked towards the side of the school, avoiding their gazes as they burned my bruised back. They already hit me a few times this morning because I forgot to do their homework. I start to shake remembering how angry they were. Looking down, I made a note to remember to do their homework during my free period. I finally reached the side doors, opening them. I spotted my locker that smelled like shit, the one the Alpha had forced me to take since no one wanted it. I was always the one making sacrifices. After my parents died in the hunter attack, he was never the same. He and the pack slut, my sister Melissa, started insulting me and treating me like their punching bag. His son and the rest of the pack soon followed, wanting to keep him happy. I opened my locker, pulling out my ridiculously heavy school books. I forced the locker door shut when I heard the hinges screeching from the abundance of rust. There was no point in repairing the rusty hinges anyway, as I had no money to pay for the oil. I let out a loud cry when the bell rang. Suddenly I found myself engulfed in the crowd that immediately appeared. After being crushed, pinched and pushed, someone pushed me out. I landed on the cold white ground... middle of paper ....... In other words, so he could make sure I hadn't murdered anyone else. As I walked through the front door, I looked around and saw the magenta walls and wooden floors. I headed to the kitchen, hoping to get an apple to eat since I hadn't had breakfast this morning. My alarm didn't go off when it was supposed to go off, so I ended up running to school. Buying an apple, I returned to the living room, suddenly aware of everything the pack had done to me since I was ten. I closed my eyes, blinking away the flashbacks of the insults and the beatings. I took a deep breath and ran up the first flight of stairs towards my room on the left. After slamming the door, I ran to my bed, without looking at my bare room which only contains my bed, a wardrobe and a desk. I wanted to sleep the rest of the day and that's exactly what I did.
