Additionally, I will elaborate on the impact of my involvement in this module on my personal integrity, principles and values, both academically and otherwise, followed by a general summary of the key benefits that this module has offered based on of my participation. My learning on the moduleMy pluses The learning needs impacted were reading to understand and writing in an academic format. Academic writing involves using effective research when examining a topic, demonstrating writing skills that are clear, concise, well-structured, and supported by evidence (Bailey, 2017). During the first semester, I struggled to understand what I was reading so that I could use it in my writing, including taking notes and structuring my essay. I had to prepare and develop in advance by constantly reading important information for at least three hours. four hours a day, to improve my understanding and practice the best ways to write effectively as a student. I had to make extra effort by repeatedly reading the contents of the lecture notes and reading materials provided by the lecturer in order to organize my knowledge, understand the new concepts and terminologies being taught, and integrate them into my study . The reading material distributed at the end of each course is voluminous and it is sometimes difficult to complete reading the weekly sections distributed. I spent more time reading the appropriate material for each assignment to clearly understand the requirements, as I have undergone many assessments in other modules I have taken. I implemented the use of guidelines from the school's academic mentors and coaches to structure the writing of my evaluation essay. This consisted of learning how to write a good introduction, body of evaluation and conclusion. I have also improved my academic writing skills through collaborative monitoring with the lecturer who actively engages us in discussions throughout the class period by calling our names and frequently asking questions. This allowed me to become an active learner and critical thinker, which I incorporated into my reading and writing. During my first semester, I was regularly confronted with time management to meet deadlines and commitments. Time management skills are skills that help manage time well when completing a task. I quickly realized that I needed to be more efficient and improve my planning skills, including organizing my study materials, prioritizing my assessment task based on due dates, and setting goals in order to achieve my goals (Morris, 2011). Indeed, during the first semester we were bombarded with so much information and assessments from this module andother modules and I felt that I could not manage so many assessments in a short time. Next, I used my personal planner, mnemonics and electronic calendar, goal setting calendar, and improvement calendar to effectively organize and plan my schoolwork (Morris, 2011). This allowed me to set time to complete tasks based on their importance by making to-do lists for the completion of my work. My research interest was based on mental health disorders. This is because I discovered during my time reading and researching, mental health disorders affect all ages, genders, ethnic and socioeconomic groups. Therefore, researching this topic will deepen my understanding, experience and knowledge which will assist me in my practice as a health and social worker (Homden, 2019). Mental health disorders can be explained as a disorder that affects people's behavior, thoughts, and feelings. Mental health disorders can take the form of depression, anxiety, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Mental health disorders can be determined by various factors such as people, genes and family history, life experiences involving stress and abuse, biological factors like the brain. imbalance, brain damage, alcohol abuse, and isolation caused by feelings of loneliness (Legg and Holland, 2018). Mental health disorders can be treated based on a person's diagnosis which involves either therapeutic interventions, medications, social support and intensive treatment which may involve admission to a psychiatric hospital. I preferred the qualitative research approach that does not base its research on a set theory because it gathers and evaluates data and produces results that solve problems (Walliman, 2011). Furthermore, the researcher is free to go beyond the subject's original response. It requires less time, labor and cost. I can easily express how this approach brings new information and understanding, recognize my limitations and my justifications. Additionally, the qualitative research method involves the use of smaller quantities and has a flexible approach to data collection and analysis that is not numerical or statistical but based on observation. and interaction, a particular issue studied at different stages (Walliman, 2011). I prefer the qualitative method because it is exploratory, easier, descriptive, communicative and uses less rigid and formal materials and sources which allow subjects a level of natural freedom rather than forcing them to choose form options that are not suitable not or which do not suit their mood or conduct. .Furthermore, a primary research method will be the basic methodological approach of my choice. Primary research can be defined as a way of directly collecting data instead of relying on data already collected from research already carried out. Indeed, I would prefer to use it as a survey in which the experimental subjects will freely answer open-ended questions in a questionnaire or interview. I may engage in in-depth individual interviews, to obtain people's detailed and general opinions and perceptions, or in case study research or in-depth content reviews to examine the ideal variables for the case at hand. of an investigation into its individual situations of origin (Gaillet and Eblé, 2015). I may also use participant study or focus groups when studying.
