    It was my first time riding in such a vehicle, so I wanted to make this experience a memorable one. That's why I decided to ride in the passenger seat in the front with the driver, and not in the back with the rest of the family. While driving down the road, the driver turned on the radio station. That’s when I first heard the news of planes crashing into the Twin Towers. At that time, the North and South Towers of the World Trade Center had collapsed. There was no mention of a terrorist attack at that time, I only heard about it later that day when we got home and saw it on the news. The vehicle was quiet at this point, I think we were all in shock and disbelief. I remember seeing the driver with tears streaming down his face. I really didn't know the importance of the Twin Towers at the time, or why anyone would want to attack New York. All I knew was that the person on the radio kept saying that planes full of people had crashed into the Twin Towers. When we got to the meal, everyone was talking about what happened and their version of what they heard on the radio.
