The cities of Athens and Sparta were two cities located in Greece that both had their own way of running their cities, but both had a common goal: to be the superior of Greece . Athens is the largest in Greece. The city was founded by Theseus and has been occupied by people for around 3,000 years. They were the principal city of ancient Greece and were recognized as a major contributor to Western civilization. The city is very picturesque with many high hills and magnificent art displays can be seen throughout the city. They placed great value on their cultural life and the growth of their society as a whole in various fundamental areas. The city plunged under the Byzantine Empire but was able to re-emerge during the Crusade period thanks to its ability to dominate trade. When the city fell, they fell because of the constant battle with the city named Sparta. Sparta was founded by a man named Lacedaemon. He was the first official king of the country. Both Sparta and Athens wanted to become the empire of Greece. In 400 BC, Sparta had the opportunity to take over the rule of Greece with its powerful army. The city of Sparta was located in southern Greece and was often considered the protector of Greece. The people attached great importance to the growth of their army. When we compare the two cities politically, economically, culturally and socially as well as the role played by women in society, we see some similarities but many profound differences. Looking at all these aspects, I believe that Athens is the city that has had the greatest influence on the modern world. Athens was a very social city that often incorporated many people into its form of government. Their government was described as a limited democracy. As a society in the modern world, many people still enjoy some form of music, art, or literature as entertainment. Athens brought the concepts of development and growth as an entity that remain major practices of the modern world. We do not focus on any specific aspect, but rather on how we can all do different things and combine them to form a rich, independent and vibrant nation. In conclusion, Athens and Sparta were both very interesting cities. They each had their own political, economic, cultural and social aspects that differentiated them. However, some aspects of each category were similar. Both cities wanted to be known as the empire of Greece. In history, both were able to achieve this goal through different methods..
