The Internet has been the greatest invention of humanity which has allowed us to go anywhere in the world without living in our room with just a click of a button. The Internet has not only changed the way we receive information, but has also given businesses a new way of doing business. The Net has revolutionized the way people interact with each other and the network has made the Internet more accessible. The Internet, with the help of the network, provided people with new means of communication, entertainment and information. The network is a set of electronic devices connected together by a communication device most of the time. The way the network has helped the Internet is because with this new system we can access the Internet from any place where this network is in place. According to Ahmad Riaz, “Today there are eight types of networks used around the world, both in homes and businesses” (Riaz). In this quote, the author claims that the network is available in different types and confirms that the network system is used by home users in large businesses. The reason why computer users use a network system is to share documents, software, and also to help transmit the Internet signal through their network, thus making Internet access in the area they prefer. There are many networks, but the most common uses are WAN, LAN, and MAN. The WAN network covers large areas like a city, a country or the world. The local network is the one that people use at home and covers a limited area. The WAN is controlled by a network provider like cablevision and uses the LAN extensively to provide Internet service.
