In the 1950s, a ruthless tyrant seized power from a once-free nation in Cuba. This tyrant is called Fidel Castro. Castro separated families, destroyed Cuba's economic prosperity, and denounced religion and the religious rights of his people. He imprisoned, tortured and killed thousands of Cubans who opposed him. However, those who were not killed were forced to leave the country and never return. Due to the vicious and savage actions committed by Fidel Castro, humanity is inherently evil. Fidel Castro was born on August 19, 1926 in BirĂ¡n, Cuba. He spent most of his youth on his father's farm with his siblings. Next, he attended Belen, a famous Jesuit boarding school, and excelled in sports, history, geography, and debate (Press 11-13). In 1945, Castro began studying law at the University of Havana and became heavily involved in politics. Later, in July 1953, Castro led approximately 120 men in an attack on the Moncada military barracks in Santiago de Cuba. The assault failed and Batista's troops succeeded.
