Essay / The Life of a Foreign Student - 749
First of all, I would like to give a definition of a foreign student. A foreign student is a warrior, someone who fights to achieve their goals and, through this, leaves their life behind to start a new life to pursue their dreams. The life of a foreign student has its difficult moments and the only motivation you have is the end that will bring you the best education. I am one of those foreign students and I would like you to take a walk with me in my life, “Welcome”. At first, everything was very different from what I was used to. It was a completely new life and the butterflies in my stomach made me realize I was alone. I didn't even know how to communicate properly with people. I was without the people I love and sometimes I need that unconditional love. The love my family would give me was what I needed most in those dark days. The main effect that affects me the most is the fact that I no longer live with my parents. Which means I don't like its amenities. It was so good when my mother cooked for me or when she made my bed. When my father took me to school and when I returned to my room and made myself completely comfortable. But becoming a foreign student means you will live in a university residence or rent an apartment. This is exactly what happened to me. I live in a dorm and usually have to take care of the dirty dishes, messy room, and kitchen. I had to learn how to do a lot of things: like cook multiple dishes. In a few words, I definitely learned to be independent. I feel a little alone since arriving in a new city where I don't know many people. It might be better if a friend of mine ...... in the middle of paper ...... w to live in harmony with others, how to do things by myself, how to move to another place, how cooking, how to speak English, etc. Leaving my home and going to study in another city is an experience that cannot be compared to any other experience in my life. I learned to be independent and met people from different countries. I learned a new culture and a new language. It's a little difficult to live without my parents in another city, but it makes me learn to live my life better and appreciate what I have, like my parents and my possessions. Additionally, I was able to appreciate the things I accomplished in my life because I learned that goals are not easily achieved, but take a lot of hard work and effort. The reason I chose this topic was to describe the life of an international student. In conclusion, being a foreign student is great.
