They examine two groups of infants, one in the United Kingdom and the other in India (Chintalapuri et al., 2013). What Chintalapuri et al. (2013) found in their study that parental guidelines were higher across the board in India, showing that although guidelines are present at the same age in both cultures, the prevalence of guidelines is different across cultures. There are also cultural differences in the four attachment theories, likely based on different countries where infants are more or less separated from their caregivers than in the United States (Broderick, P. and Blewitt, P., 2015 ). However, it is good to know that maternal sensitivity and attachment security have been successfully replicated across cultures. It therefore seems that with childhood, there are not too many cultural differences regarding these relationships (Broderick, P., & Blewitt, P. ., 2015). What to keep in mind about cultural differences are the differences in context between cultures and how different meanings and connections can be created.
