She presents an important message in her story and I think people should read it. I thought his life and text were inspiring and important to learn and read, as I am not aware of what happened in the South to African men and women during this time period. When we read this author's text in class, I wanted to read it. His reading style was more interesting than any of the other authors we have read in class so far. I was personally interested because I could understand what she was trying to convey in her story and what she was trying to say to her audience. I want to analyze Harriet Jacobs' novel about slaves, "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl" and analyze her life.
