This film shows us that as a society we take everything given to us for granted until there is nothing left. There is a clear message in this film: if we don't consider changing our habits, we will regret it sooner or later. Capitalists are selfish and only care about the present, without caring about our future generations and what will be left for them if we continue to live this unsustainable life. Instead of Once-ler cutting down all the trees at once, he should have found a more durable material for his needs.
