Essay / Branding Plan - 793
To achieve the expected profits or returns, an organization must develop a marketing strategy. It is through marketing that an organization informs the public about: new products, how to use a product, improvements to an existing product and more about a product. An effective marketing plan is reflected in the level of performance. When an effective marketing plan is used, an organization is bound to generate more profits and vice versa (Marketing Minds, 2010). When developing a marketing plan, the main factor to consider is the marketing mix. It is through this that an organization can develop an effective marketing strategy. In the marketing process, a business must develop a successful combination of the right product, sold in the right place, to the right people and using the most appropriate promotion. Therefore, to develop a good market mix, a company must meet certain conditions. Product functionality must look good and work well for the business. The price should be reasonable for the target group, thereby increasing consumer purchase and, in return, high income. The company must also have the product in the right place and at the right time. The producer must ensure that the product is available when and where it is requested. The producer must also inform the target of the existence and availability of the product via promotions. When promotion is successful, a company spreads costs significantly over larger production (Marketing Minds, 2010). Apple has developed different phone models, with the iPad being among the latest models. The model has several features that greatly attract users. This makes the product easy to market to various user groups, for example marketing an iPa...... middle of paper ...... will also increase purchases by students and therefore profits (Marketing Minds, 2010).The features of the device are also attractive to students and therefore compatible with their needs. Having the product in a store located near the campus is also a good strategy for the company. Students can now purchase the device without traveling to other malls. It is also available at all tech outlets, protecting users from price gouging by a single retailer. Teachers are also potential users alongside students. The company is therefore bound to achieve high returns from the product because the device is appropriate and meets the needs of the target group (Marketing Minds, 2010).ReferencesMarketing Minds, (2010).
