The world is full of people who are either too arrogant or others who live with too little self-esteem. Through the characters in her book Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen describes how attitudes that are too proud or too unfulfilled can cause ruin. Some, like Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy, are lucky enough to realize their excessive pride and thus manage to find happiness in their relationship. Unfortunately, others, like Charlotte Lucas, never wake up and remain unfulfilled their entire lives. Balance of perspectives is a good rule to respect.
