    Importance of the Constitution with the Law in AmericaThe definition of constitution is the act or process of composing, setting up or establishing (Websters Online Dictionary). When I think of the Constitution, I think of that of our “founding fathers,” those who established our government and our office. I remember why they came here. I view the Constitution as the mission statement of the American government. All American standards. This ensures that we cannot stray from the vision of what we stand for. To me, the constitution fundamentally represents freedom of rights for all. All men are created equal. Our fathers come from a generation of people who came to this “Newfoundland” because of the ridicule and corruption of the English government. They were fed up with the daily corruption of their government. They battled harsh weather, famine and disease because they desperately wanted to escape. I think of desperate people who would leave everything they know just to come to a place they've never seen or heard of. To go in a direction to a place they know nothing about. Leaving family, friends, church and work to go to an unknown place because they have suffered a lot. With this appreciation for them fighting for their freedom, I understand how important the Constitution is to me today, because of how important it was to our history.
