Table of ContentsGathering Information and Creating a PlanCreating a DraftFinalizing, Proofreading, and SubmittingFor some people, writing a paper can be intimidating. So, it also depends on the subject, course and information required. In the midst of bullying, it is important to maintain academic integrity in order to honor the commitment made by the student during their academic journey. Violation of academic integrity includes plagiarism, misuse by students of their own scholarly work, cheating, providing false information, copyright infringement, misrepresentation of degrees, theft or damage to property and modification of academic documents. A simple misuse of a word, inappropriate quotation, and/or failure to fully paraphrase will call into question the reliability of the student. Additionally, another difficult problem may arise when starting the document and creating an outline and/or draft to begin with. This article outlines the process by which I write, edit, and revise a well-written research paper. Say no to plagiarism. Get a custom essay on “Why Violent Video Games Should Not Be Banned”? Get an original essay Gather information and create a plan After collecting my information and data from the Walden University library or a online peer review source PubMed, I then use what I think about the best strategy for writing a research paper. It's just about creating an overview. I read the information carefully, highlight important and key factors, take note with pen and notebook of anything of significant value. I write an outline by hand, structuring every aspect of the article, from the title to the reference page. The created plan serves as a template for my article. I find that outlining my article is the most effective way to communicate my ideas and exchange thoughts. Create a Draft After completing my outline, I write by hand and expand on each of the points, adding data and expanding details. When the first draft is created, I don't attempt to edit what I've written. I keep all expressions and sentence structures because I don't want to stop my writing flow. I use this time to get all my thoughts and ideas down on paper, leaving revising and editing for later. This is when I write down in detail the restated and summarized key points noted in the plan. These ideas are developed and details are added to make the content more personal. Citations are also added to give credit and respect to the authentic author. Once everything has been added to the plan, the document is then ready to move on to the next phase before being completed. Finalization, proofreading and submission One more step but far from finished; it’s when I put down the pen and pick up the laptop. Using the APA template provided by Walden University, I bring my article to life. Once the paper is typed, editing and corrections are done. I use a total of three external sources, including SafeAssign, to analyze my article. These sources check for misspelled words, grammar, punctuation, sentence and word structure, and finally plagiarism. If suggestions are given at this time, my article is then edited and corrected a second time. To ensure scientific excellence, my article is resubmitted to the database for further screening. If there are no suggestions, after final proofreading, now is the time to submit the finished product. Keep in mind: this is just one.
