Lifestyle is one of the determinants of health. Several factors influence family lifestyle in the United Arab Emirates, such as smoking. Tobacco use still presents a great danger to health. It caused the deaths of more than six million people worldwide in 2010 (Aden, Karrar, Shafey & Al Hosani, 2013). The UAE faces many negative effects related to tobacco, such as cardiovascular diseases which account for 37.5% of all deaths in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi (Aden, Karrar, Shafey, & Al Hosani, 2013) . Injuries can lead to mortality and disability. It was the second leading cause of death in the UAE between 2000 and 2008, estimated at 1,200 deaths per year. It is recommended to clean the refrigerator once a week (Zelman, 2004). Additionally, the housekeeper stores raw meat on the top shelf of the refrigerator. On the other hand, raw meat should be placed on the bottom shelf to prevent it from falling on other foods. In conclusion, the three previous aspects of lifestyle are associated with the detriment of health. The father must stop smoking as soon as possible because it affects the whole family. Parents should make some changes to their home to provide a safe environment for their children. The mother and servant should acquire new knowledge to avoid food contamination.
