    The main characters in one story all have very similar characteristics to the main characters in other stories. The main characters of Macbeth and Tempest both face similar dilemmas that they resolve in similar ways, but each had their own way of going about it. Both Prospero and Macbeth are trying to proclaim their power as leader or king, and they each must determine whether they should and how they should resolve the problem. Both Macbeth and Prospero are very important characters in the Macbeth and Tempest texts and share, but also differ, certain qualities and traits. Macbeth is a character who is easily convinced by the people around him throughout the text Macbeth. Like many of Shakespeare's characters, he has a certain importance in the community. Macbeth is one of Shakespeare's many tragedies, all of which are similar in some ways. “It was at the end of William Shakespeare's period, after 1600, that he wrote the tragedies Hamlet, King Lear, Othello and Macbeth.
