    Recently, community service is more and more crucial in the life of every teenager. From gaining admission to their dream college to winning awards, community service is sometimes forgotten in its true purpose and meaning. When I entered high school, I entered with the idea that I needed to do community service to get into a good college, but now, as a high school student, my opinion has changed drastically. At a certain point in life, we begin to understand that individuals play a more important role in life than we once thought. For me, this point came while I was volunteering at Alexis I. DuPont Children's Hospital. My experience at the hospital transformed me from a blind teenager to someone who takes pride in helping her community. While volunteering at AI Children's Hospital, I came to the conclusion that every action has a big impact. Children who are hospitalized due to their terminal illnesses or other illnesses have opened my once blind eyes. The merit of this unveiling goes to a young girl.
