Get the original essay The event I participated in previously was a 10km Jogathon titled JOG FOR HOPE 2016 (Figure 1) which was held on 14th August 2016 (Sunday) at Taylor's College Sri Hartamas. The number of participants was approximately 1,786 and this type of event fell under the category of fundraising events. The reasons why I participated in this type of event was that it could help other people who needed our help. Then I am interested in participating in this type of sporting event or fundraising event because it can not only help others when they are facing problems but also work out to improve the health of the body. After participating in this event, all participants received a free gift and a certificate from JOG FOR HOPRE 2016 (Figure 2). The reason why I chose this event as the subject of my personal reflection because it gave me a lot of impressions then. first time participating in the Jogathon. The first time I participated in Jogathon was the Warisan Jogathon on April 20, 2014, which was held at Kwong Tung Cemetery Office. In addition to these two Jogathons, I have also participated in other types of Jogathon events, for example like a social/life cycle event, Jogathon Warisan on April 17, 2016 which was held at the cemetery office in Kwong Tung and a fundraising event, Jogathon for School, found 96th on The idea of organizing this Jogathon was born after the Tree Huggers Club (Figure 2) of Taylor's College Sri Hartamas (TCSH) visited the Selangor and Federal Territory Spastic Children's Association (SCASFT). After observing the poor condition of the 50-year-old building, a discussion took place with the club. It was agreed that a Jogathon should be held to help raise funds for the SCASFT redevelopment programme, instead of raising funds from the public (Jog For Hope 2016, 2018). Launched in 2009, Taylor's College Jog For Hope is an annual charity jogathon. founded by the Tree Huggers Club involving pre-university students from Taylor's College. The first JOG FOR HOPE event was organized in 2009 and managed entirely by Taylor's College student Sri Hartamas. This was the 8th edition of this event and its organizing committee was made up of 42 students, supported by members of the college staff. This event was divided into three distances, there was 3 km for the Fun Run (Figure 4), 6 km for the Turbo Run (Figure 5). ) and 10 km for the resilience race (Figure 6). The participation fee for each participant was divided into four categories, including RM35 for school children, RM45 for tertiary students, RM55 for all other participants and RM450 for a corporate group accommodating 10 participants (Taylor's College, 2018). Sponsors for this event included Zalora, SPORT DICRECT.COM, KOTEX, BERJAYA TIMES SUARE THEME PARK, HUAWEI, MAMEE, INDOCAFE and more (Jog For Hope 2016, 2018). The venue of this event was located at Taylor's College Sri Hartamas, a branch campus of Taylor's College established since 2008. Then this type of event is considered a fundraising event, an event created by or for a groupcharitable or cause-related for the purpose of attracting revenue, support and/or awareness, scheduled alone or in conjunction with other events. Objective of the event The main objective of this event was to raise funds for charitable organizations and societies so that they can continue to achieve their objective and help the communities. For this event, funds obtained from participants were donated to communities in need. The beneficiaries of this year were the Kirtarsh Handicapped and Disabled Children's Home, the Special Children Society of Ampang and the Sweet Care Welfare Society. Kirtash Disabled and Disabled Children's Home in Rawang is a place for disabled, underprivileged children, adults and elderly people. The Sweet Care Home in Selayang and the Special Children Society in Ampang is a non-profit organization that provides special care and education to children with physical, developmental and learning disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, prader-willi, down syndrome and slow. the learners. Each received a donation of RM23,000 (Taylor's College, 2018). The foundations of event design fall into three aspects: setting, management and people. Metrics included elements of location, design and sense of place. Management included elements of systems, programs and services. People included staff, volunteers, guests or participants. The theme of this event was JOG FOR HOPE and this means that participants can donate funds through the event to help others and as part of a charity event or fundraising event to help children with learning difficulties. The size of this Jogathon event was a minor event, an event that took place at local or community events. The minor event will attract a small group of targeted audiences, which can enhance local interest and learning about a possible tradition. On the other hand, minor events may be called festivals or annual events. The students of Taylor's College were not so focused on the lighting part as the event was held in the morning around 7 am and the event was held outside the College. But the lighting they used was a spotlight that illuminated a wide area and produced a much more circulating light while producing a much more circulating light, like a work lamp. The most focused things at this event was the musical part. They played the song to enhance the atmosphere of the event, which can encourage the participants to continue and welcome them after the jogathon at the end point. Settings wise, the venue for this event was located at Taylor's College Sri Hartamas, 62, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was very practical for these participants. Because every year the event was held at the same location outside Taylor's College. This made it easier for participants to find the venue and they can get there by sharing a car with friends or taking a car. For example, I am the one who shares the car with my friend to go to the venue together and participate in the event. Next, the design of this event was quite different from other jogathon events. The reason I said so because this jogathon had few volunteers, among them some students from Taylor's College, will stand at a few specific points or distances to give the participants different colors of ribbons like the colorgreen and the color yellow to show that they have crossed the specific. point or distances. For example, the total 10km course had three checkpoints for participants who compete at a distance of 10km during the Jogathon. From the management point of view, the organization of the program of this event went smoothly because they started preparing since April 2018 and the workflow was allowed to all participants. For example, participants knew when to check in, where to meet and the distance of the Jogathon. Then the services of this event were pretty good. The reason was that they found Nestlé Milo sponsored Milo Drinks and Coconut Crunchies for the participants at the end of the Jogathon. Participants taking Milo and coco crunch can increase energy after the Jogathon. From a people perspective, the total number of attendees at this event was 1,786 and consisted of students, their parents, staff and members of the public of all ages and backgrounds. life united for a good cause. But most of the attendees at this event were teenagers. Staff or volunteers for this event during 2016 included students from Sri Hartamas of Taylor and a staff member from that college. Results and Discussion In this event, I considered the satisfactory elements of this event included few things. Firstly, students from Taylor's College, Sri Hartamas taught some simple exercises to get all the participants to do a simple exercise before participating in the jogathon. This was good for all participants, especially those who did not exercise regularly but were nonetheless willing to participate. The reason for having it is that it will allow your body to train before doing an intense exercise such as a long distance jogathon for example like a 6km or 10km distance. Secondly, the students of Taylor's College Sri Hartamas also found sponsors such as Nestle Milo to provide drinks and coconut crunchies to all participants after completing the jogathon. Thirdly, the venue of this event was located at Taylor's College Sri Hartamas, 62, Jalan Sri Hartamas 1, Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was very practical for these participants. Because every year the event was held at the same location and outside Taylor's College, making it easier for participants to find the venue. In addition, there were also information boards letting participants know where the check-in counter or toilets are located. With these few elements, it gave a good impression to all the participants so that they feel appreciated and will participate in the event again. Therefore, this will increase the reputation of Taylor's College and increase the number of participants in the event and indirectly lead to an increase in the amount of fundraising to help communities that need help. On the other hand, I noticed that the beneficiaries of this event were different each year. For example, the differences between the beneficiaries of the four-year event, such as the year 2009, the year 2015, the year 2016 and the year 2017. During the year 2009, the organization Support for Parents, Infants and Children Through Early Services (SPICES) was created by an organization. providing assistance to children with developmental or learning disabilities and requiring special learning needs (Taylor's College, 2018) also in the year 2015 the beneficiaries are Siddharthan Care Centre, a children's home and underprivileged elderly people, and the Sinthamani Divine Life Ashram orphanage and during the year 2016, there were.
