    According to Wikipedia The first revelation of Muhammad occurred at Hira on the mountain Jabal An-Nuour in the year 610 AD when the archangel Gabriel came to him and gave him a verse of the Koran (“The first revelation of Muhammad”1). After his revelation, Muhammad went to tell his wife who then took him to see Ebionite's cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who was very knowledgeable in the Jewish and Christian scriptures and, after hearing Muhammad's story, was convinced that Muhammad is a revelation from Allah. Nawful then says that the Angel who came to him, Namus (Gabriel), is the same one who came to Moses.
