It shows us how love can turn against human folly. In "The Story of an Hour", Mrs. Mallard felt joyful but not depressed after her husband's death since she can free herself from him. It shows us how love kills and buries romance. Therefore, people think that marriage is the graveyard of romance and I think this is true after reading these stories because there are some strong examples in these stories and make me think why people still maintain this system even s 'they are afraid of it.
