A thief considered a hero. He was an excellent archer. Robin Hood was a hero in his time. While many believe he was a thief and a villain in the eyes of the law, others believe he was a hero to the poor. Some people might say that Robin Hood stole from the government, and that stealing is a crime no matter what your cause. They might also say that if people today stole from the rich and gave money to the poor, they would be arrested because stealing is illegal. Finally, those who think that Robin Hood was wrong in what he did might say that he betrayed his country. It is true that Robin Hood stole, he became an outlaw because of it. Anyone who steals from the rich in this era and gives to the poor will be arrested and probably put in jail for a long time, stealing is against the law and that's it. Also according to Mitchell, a man named Corey Donaldson has been in prison for more than five years for robbing a bank, where he pretended to be Robin Hood by stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. (5). Robin Hood was labeled an outlaw by the government (Lindahl 1), meaning he was outlawed. He was called this because he betrayed his country by stealing from the prince, Prince John, and fighting the Sheriff of Nottingham. These were two people in positions of power and authority, and Robin Hood challenged them and fought against them. These are three reasons why some people think Robin Hood may have been wrong in what he did.
