    Nowadays, technology seems to be almost everywhere we go. With the advancement of cell phones, computers, video games, cars and our iPods, our lives have become much easier than ever. Technology is created because society always wants to find more efficient methods to accomplish certain tasks. Without technology, humanity would not have discovered things that the majority of us know today, such as the world, animals, science, etc. However, there are not many benefits to society outside of their academic and professional duties. Technology has become a necessity for all of us, although it is definitely changing our mental habits. Due to technological advancements, the United States is becoming more and more dependent on it, making society more antisocial and less motivated. Technology is omnipresent because it has had an impact on us, particularly through communication, among other things. As a society, we are becoming lazy because of technology; people realize that there is no wasted time for shopping. Presby's article "How Technology and Science Have Made Us Lazy -" tells us that we don't "even need to leave the house, [or] walk to the mailbox to send something » and we lose our social interaction with each other. (Presby). Technology has helped improve the means of communication. The article “The History of the Telephone” explains the invention of the telephone in 1876 and how it greatly helped society at that time (Bellis). Communication seemed to be very simple at the time, and it continues to become so, according to the article "Modern Means of Communication".
