    I was a four-year letter winner in volleyball and basketball. Athletics played a crucial role in developing my character and work ethic. In sports, you have to work as a team to achieve your goals. Confidence and communication skills are vital and are tested every day. The failures and setbacks I encountered in sports helped me believe in myself and have the self-confidence needed to succeed in athletics and in life. As the senior captain of the volleyball and basketball teams, my leadership improved significantly as my high school education progressed. Being a leader keeps me accountable and I aim to be a role model for my younger teammates on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Clubs were a great way for me to expand my interests outside of sports. I was involved in the first year of Key Club and FCA and enjoyed meeting new people and making a difference in our community.
