Reliability of designs to design a new product is a challenge for any industry in today's world. Designing a new, more reliable and more standard product is a headache for everyone. The field of engineering design is a broad field. Not every design can move to the final design stage from its first conception. It takes many different phases before it is approved for entry into the manufacturing process. An engineer must be clear about the method to follow to meet the business requirements in the end. Engineering design provides different ways for a designer to carry out the design on different platforms using CAD software. Airbus follows different rules and methods to meet its requirements and also to be unique in the market. Since the development phase of tools and aircraft parts runs in parallel until the end of the final product, it is more important to consider a reliable design method that can adapt to all changes . As any change in design method between the two will lead to more problems in different directions or sometimes starting the project from the preliminary stage which will result in a longer and more costly investment. How can a design be differentiated between good and bad design? It doesn't depend on visual appearance. The designed product should be transparent and clear for any design engineer to use concurrent engineering, which helps to complete the project in a short period of time. Here it leads to a diversity of solutions, diverse ideas and better designs. Among the different design methods such as associative design method and traditional design methods, Airbus always has the challenge of following a standard method which can be both economical and reliable. But in the aviation industry, more than using jigs for mass production, operators use jigs to achieve more accurate and precise quality.
